Meet The Team

Dr. White

While most general practice dentists may dabble in Invisalign as part of their services, as an orthodontist Dr. John White specializes in Invisalign. In fact, Invisalign is his passion.

He is the first and only Diamond Plus Invisalign Provider (top one percent) in Northern Ohio. A leader in his field, Dr. White not only offers the latest technology, but he is helping develop it as he consults with manufacturers and lectures at meetings.

A 1977 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Dr. White went directly into the USAF dental corps as a general dentist. He received his MSD in orthodontics from Case Western Reserve University in 1982 and remained in the USAF until 1988. During this time, Dr. White was a consultant to the Air Force surgeon general as well as an instructor at Malcolm Grow and David Grant USAF Medical Centers, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Bethesda Naval Medical Center.

Dr. White has been in private practice in suburban Cleveland since 1988 and a faculty member (currently associate professor) at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine since 1990, where he has been named Instructor of the Year three times.

He has lectured nationally and internationally on many topics including CBCT imaging and intraoral 3D scanning for orthodontics, Invisalign, and the integration of gnathologic and neuromuscular dental principles in orthodontics. He is a consultant to Sirona and 3M Unitek and a contributing editor for the journal Orthodontic Practice US.

He has a bachelor of arts in chemistry, a minor in economics, a master of science in nutritional biochemistry, a doctor of dental medicine and a master of science in dentistry. He authored a research paper on the systematic review of genetic components to root resorption, which was published in The Angle Orthodontist.
With a patient-first approach, Dr. A considers what patients want and need, then provides options with different orthodontic treatment modalities, including traditional braces and Invisalign clear aligners.

A hometown boy, Dr. A grew up in Pepper Pike and attended Orange High School, where he played basketball and ran track. Outside of work, he and his wife love traveling, going to the movies, and cooking. Dr. A. is also an avid fan of all Ohio sports teams and enjoys golfing.
