A captain in the U.S. Army who served as a dental officer at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, from 2011-2014, Dr. Amir Aminoshariae returned to Northeast Ohio to continue his education at the esteemed orthodontic program at Case Western Reserve University, where he was chief orthodontic resident.

After completion of the orthodontics program, he joined Smiles by White in January 2017 to pursue his passion for orthodontics. Affectionately called “Dr. A,” Dr. Aminoshariae brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the practice. He has a bachelor of arts in chemistry, a minor in economics, a master of science in nutritional biochemistry, a doctor of dental medicine and a master of science in dentistry. He authored a research paper on the systematic review of genetic components to root resorption, which was published in The Angle Orthodontist.

With a patient-first approach, Dr. A considers what patients want and need, then provides options with different orthodontic treatment modalities, including traditional braces and Invisalign clear aligners.

A hometown boy, Dr. A grew up in Pepper Pike and attended Orange High School, where he played basketball and ran track. Outside of work, he and his wife love traveling, going to the movies, and cooking. Dr. A. is also an avid fan of all Ohio sports teams and enjoys golfing.
